About
Daisy Gates

My name is Daisy Gates, and I am a singer-songwriter, instrumentalist, producer, and independent music educator. My background includes performance, music education, private lessons, classroom teaching, and creative music work.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Popular Music and a Master of Science in Music Education. Over the years, I have taught students in public and private schools, homeschool settings, and private lessons. My experience includes working with children, teens, beginners, developing musicians, and students who benefit from patient, encouraging guidance as they grow.

My teaching style is structured, creative, and student-centered. I believe students need fundamentals, but they also need space to explore sound, ask questions, build confidence, and understand how music connects to everyday life, culture, and personal expression.

     Music Lessons

Beginner online music lessons are opening in September for children, teens, and adults. Thirty-minute private lessons will be available in piano, recorder, violin, viola, and beginner cello.

Lessons will be offered Monday through Thursday between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Appointments are booked one lesson at a time on a first-come, first-served basis. Payment is required when scheduling, and students are not automatically enrolled in a recurring weekly time.

Occasional Saturday appointments may be available when my schedule allows. Saturday times are not offered every week and will be posted as they become available. Students and families should check the online booking calendar regularly for current openings.

Future Homeschool Music Program

An online homeschool music program for students in 2nd through 5th grade is currently being developed. Future classes may include rhythm, melody, singing, listening, music vocabulary, music appreciation, music history, staff reading, and beginner performance skills.

Families may join the homeschool interest list to receive email updates as the program develops and enrollment information becomes available.

Local homeschool partnerships may also be considered in Macon and Warner Robins, Georgia, for co-ops, learning pods, private schools, community groups, or organizations with an approved meeting space.

Private online lessons are opening in September. Homeschool classes are coming later. Local opportunities will depend on group size, scheduling, location, and available meeting space.

General Music by Grade Level

General Music is a grade-level music course for homeschool students. Students explore rhythm, steady beat, singing, listening, movement, music alphabet, staff reading, creativity, and music theory games. Some lessons may include brief instrument exploration, but the main focus is building a well-rounded music foundation.

Instrument-Focused Classes

Instrument-focused classes are for students who want to study one instrument more directly. These classes may include piano, voice, recorder, ukulele, violin, viola, or cello. Students will learn instrument basics, technique, rhythm, note reading, and simple songs appropriate for their grade or experience level.

Program Format

This homeschool music program will begin with weekly Google Classroom lessons. Students will receive guided music activities, digital class instructions, and music learning assignments that can be completed on the family’s schedule.

Optional live support may be offered later based on availability. Families will receive updates by email if live support times become available.
