ROUND ONE!

Updated: Feb 10

As some of you may know I started grad school last year around January of 2024. Let me tell you it was not easy adjusting to this move. This is my first time adulting when I say adulting I mean paying bills like real bills—rent, water, lights. Now please don't come on here reading this like WHAT?! Of course, I am an adult but I'm out here, I have my place where it's just me. I moved to Georgia in 2018 right after I graduated with my first Master's which is in music education. I graduated in December of 2017 and the program was only a year. The second master's degree I am pursuing is music therapy and it's an intense program. There were some challenges my first semester but I got the routine now. These are some instruments that we have used in this program so far, accordion, guitar, piano, recorder, and harmonica. I was having a big issue with the accordion last semester but I progressed to be good enough LOL. I already knew how to play the recorder because I have taught children in public schools as a music educator. We went more advanced in playing the recorder and as for the guitar, I am getting much better at it. Piano I can play but I'm moving my skills more over to the advanced side of things.

I will show you the two guitars that I have. I purchased a classical guitar at the beginning of the semester, but I sprained my hand when I was moving to my new location. I was going to ignore it, but it was really bad, so I had to go to the hospital and get it treated. As a result, I had to purchase another guitar with a smaller fretboard. For those who don't know, a classical guitar fretboard is wider than a regular acoustic guitar. Anyway, I'll be keeping you all updated on my 2025 grad school journey!

Let me know if you can tell which one is the classical guitar. Only the nonmusic people!
