Sunday Sound Bath: 15 Minutes of Healing Sound.

I created this sound-bowl session for anyone who treats Sunday as a gentle reset button. Below is a deeper look at why these tones feel so restorative and a few tips to get the most from the video.

Why bowls on a Sunday?

Sundays carry a “liminal” energy one foot still in rest, the other stepping into a new week. Slow, sustained frequencies (think 60 BPM or lower) coax the nervous system from fight-or-flight into rest-and-digest. Many listeners report reduced heart rate, calmer breathing, and a quiet, almost spacious mind. With bowls, you also get rich overtones that invite the brain toward alpha and theta states the same brainwaves linked with meditation and creative insight.

Some tips

  1. Headphones recommended. Even simple closed-back cans capture low-end resonance you won’t hear on phone speakers.

  2. Lights low or natural. Harsh lighting keeps the sympathetic (alert) nervous system wired. Soften the room or sit near a window in morning light.

  3. Set an intention. A single sentence “I release last week’s stress,” or “I invite calm focus for what’s ahead”—helps the sound do targeted work.

  4. Stillness after the final tone. When the bowls fade, resist the reflex to hop up. Give your body 60 seconds to integrate.

Carry the calm forward

If the session leaves you floating, bottle that vibe:

  • Journal a quick line about what you feel in your body. Over time you’ll spot patterns tight shoulders melting sooner, easier breath, improved sleep.

  • Loop the track for study or creative work. Many people find the steady drone keeps them in flow without the distraction of lyrics.

  • Share the link with anyone who needs a gentle reset. Sound healing spreads best by word of mouth and open hearts.
